Are all Teflon coatings the same?
No. The Teflon family includes different fluoropolymer products. Exact product and resin requirements should be reviewed rather than treating the name as one universal coating.
Discuss a projectINDUSTRIAL FLUOROPOLYMER COATINGS
ACS applies industrial Teflon fluoropolymer coating systems for defined release, friction and chemical-protection requirements. Teflon is a product family: provide the resin designation, product number and coating specification when available.
Tell ACS what contacts the coated surface, the operating temperature, the desired release behavior and any wear or dimensional constraints. The starting finish, part geometry and specified system influence the processing scope.
A drawing that says only Teflon may leave the product and processing requirements undefined. Include PTFE or PFA when specified, together with grade, thickness, masked areas and acceptance criteria.
Individual components and larger industrial parts.
Processing options reviewed for recurring production.
Polymer coating capacity up to 196 inches long by 74 inches in diameter. Call about longer parts and material-specific processing.
APPLICATION REVIEW
PTFE release coatings can address sticking and friction, while PFA systems may serve specified barrier applications. Teflon is a product family rather than one universal coating specification.
Identify what contacts the surface, service temperature, wear, product grade, thickness and finish requirements. Do not substitute a release system for an immersion lining without review.
Identify any existing coating to remove, substrate damage, masked features and the required completion date. Inspection and processing commitments are confirmed for the job.

Send the drawing, substrate, dimensions, quantity, coating product, required thickness, masked areas, service conditions, inspection requirements and deadline. Identify any existing finish that needs removal.
Tell ACS which material is specified and what your part needs. We will review the application, processing scope and schedule.
